Gary Trailblazers AAU Track Club (Hurdle/ Sprint Coach)
– Coached the best local talent in Northwest Indiana, where we had a number of nationally ranked athletes.
Gary Westside High School (Hurdle Coach) – Coached at a highly traditional state track powerhouse. Winning multiple conference titles. We also had Mark Jelks ( 4 time All-American 100-10.25/200-20.79), who broke the Nike indoor 60 meter record (2003)
Also, coached Jerea Protho (IHSAA State Runner-up 100H),
and Ranay Harvey (BIG 10 All Conference/ Purdue Top 10 All Time (100H, 400H)-IHSAA State Runner-up 300H)
Honey Creek Middle School (Head Boys Coach) – Current Vigo County Champion, Turned program around, where the athletes were looking at the bigger picture, state-wide, instead of local. We won city titles, including coaching state ranked sprinters, hurdlers, and relays.
I created an annual new track meet called, “Sycamore Bee Sting”, where we invited other schools from different areas, at the new Indiana State Gibson Track Complex. Proceeds went towards Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness. A great community event, that’ll only get bigger.
Coached Ethan Roach, who finished USATF Junior Top 25 15/16 Boys in the nation, at this year’s national meet in Sacramento, CA
